I will buy arsenal within 4 years - dangote
Africa's richest man Aliko Dangote has reiterated his intention to buy Arsenal, but insists any takeover will take "three to four years".
The 59-year-old, a lifelong Arsenal fan who has a net worth of $16.7bn (£12.86bn) has previously stated his plans to purchase the Premier League club, but will wait for gas and oil investments to develop before focusing his efforts on North London.
"Maybe three to four years," he told Bloomberg TV. "The issue is that we have more challenging headwinds. I need to get those out the way first and start having tailwinds. Then I'll focus on this. It's not about buying Arsenal and just continuing with business as usual.
"It's about buying Arsenal and turning it around. I've run a very successful business and I think I can also run a very successful team. Right now, with what we're facing, over $20bn of projects, I cannot do both."
Dangote believes his success in the business world, despite the loss of $4.4bn this year due largely to the depreciation of Nigeria’s currency, proves he is the right man to transform Arsenal’s fortunes, after years of relative stagnation under Kroenke and manager Arsene Wenger.
"Some candidates forget 'expo' in their answer booklets'- WAEC
In a hurry to submit their answer booklets to invigilators, some candidates forget their expo (materials used for examination malpractice) in the booklets, the West African Examination Council has said.
The council also noted that some other candidates use different answer booklets from its authorised copies.
Its Public Relations Officer, Mr. Demianus Ojijeogu, who confirmed this in an interview with our correspondent, however, added that the council had reduced the incidence of impersonation in its examinations through its biometric registration process
He said,
“We encounter malpractice during the examination and during marking. Some leave the expo in the answer booklets. We see that all the time. Others use other answer booklets different from the council’s own. But, we discover these things during marking because the booklets do not have our serial numbers and they are not usually signed by the supervisors. Supervisors usually sign the booklets before they are given to the candidates.
“We have been able to handle impersonation through our biometric process but there is still collusion where candidates will copy exactly the same answers usually dictated by a teacher. We have our invigilators but the number is limited. When you leave the centre or before we get there, they will do what they want.”

Pre. Buhari will embark on a journey next week to New York to address the UN assembly
The President of the federal republic of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari will by next week lead a
delegation of the Federal Government to New York where he
would address the 71st regular session of the United Nations,
UN, General Assembly on September 21, 2016.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Geoffrey Onyeama, who
disclosed this in Abuja on Friday, explained that the President
would use the opportunity to build on his excellent
relationship with other world leaders and demand the
recovery of illicit and looted funds.
He revealed that the Nigerian government would make a case
for the election of an Afro-centric UN Secretary-General, who
would be pro-developing countries.
Onyeama stated that Buhari would also push for the
candidature of Nigerians into various international agencies
which he said had influence on UN policy and programmes
globally.
While arguing that it was absolutely important that Nigeria
engaged in multilateral relations, he stated that the country
had candidates for positions in International Civil Aviation
Authority and the United Nations Human Rights Council.
EFCC driver, policemen arrested for breaking into former chief of Defence mansion
A driver with the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission, EFCC, Nasiru Isa, has been arrested for
allegedly breaking into one of the sealed mansions owned by
the immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Alex
Badeh (retd.).
EFCC had in January, sealed off over five landed properties
belonging to Badeh before arraigning him on 10-count charge
bordering on money laundering and theft.
The EFCC said in a statement by its spokesman, Mr. Wilson
Uwujaren, that the suspect belonged to a criminal syndicate
that specialised in breaking into properties sealed off by the
EFCC.
EFCC listed one Corporal Aliyu Ismaila as a member of the
syndicate.
Other suspects include: Abubakar Jibrin, Abdulsalam Ado,
Ibrahim Babangida, Reuben Dauda, Hassan Aliyu, Sani Yusuf
and Murtala Mohammed.
The statement read in part, “On August 30, 2016, operatives
of the EFCC, as part of monitoring activities on the sealed
property, had gone to the site to execute a search.
“However, members of the syndicate took to their heels on
sighting the operatives of the anti-graft agency. A carpenter,
Yakubu Muhammad, who was hired by the syndicate, was left
behind and was subsequently arrested by the operatives.
“The carpenter, who has been cooperating with operatives,
confessed that he was not in the know of the illicit activity, as
he was only brought in by the syndicate to assist with the use
of his carpentry tools to break into the property.”
According to the EFCC, investigations revealed that shortly
after the property was sealed, some individuals moved about
12 bags believed to contain items linked to money laundering
offence, into the property.
The statement added, “Investigations revealed that one of
those in the know about the goods was the brains behind the
scheming to steal them. The syndicate decided they would
need to subdue the security man at the property, which would
mean they would need to involve security personnel in the
syndicate.
“Subsequently, Isa was contacted. To further beef up the
security aspect of the crime, he also contacted his friend,
Ismaila, who came for the ‘operation’ fully armed. In
perpetrating the crime, Dauda had posed to be a senior
official of the EFCC, while Jibrin posed as an Intelligence
Police officer in the Inspector General’s office.
“However, on August 30, 2016, they were caught in the act of
breaking into the property, having successfully overpowered
the security guard at the entrance of the property.

Two little boys were arrested over the raping of A year old girl in cameroon
Two little boys have been arrested for allegedly raping and
killing a one year old girl in Cameroon. Police in Kumbe
Balindo, Ndian Division in the South West region of the
country paraded the boys, aged 7 and 10, who shockingly
admitted to the act. But in what world can a 7 year old boy
have erection enought to rape? What nonsense?
According to Cameroon Intelligence Report, after raping the
girl, the little boys forced her body into a pit latrine
and then hit her with a stick until she died. However, a
traditional ruler in the area is of the opinion that 'the young
boys cannot get an erection and are not capable of destroying
the late baby’s private as medical reports indicated.'
Some also believe that someone is possibly using the children
to 'hide a ritual crime.'
ASUU has mapped out a date to embark on strike nationwide
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has said that
the union will commence a warning strike action starting on
the 2nd of October, 2016, if the government fails to honour its
agreements.
Reports stated that the ASUU Chairman, University of Abuja
Chapter, Dr Ben Ugheoke disclosed this while speaking with
journalists.
He reportedly said, “We have tried to dialogue with the Federal
Government but they have been playing games with us, we will
start with a warning strike to show them we are not jokers.”
Dr. Ugheoku noted that all efforts by the union proved abortive
while stressing that the strike will last for one week, ”and if
they do not give us listening ears we will start the indefinite
strike come November 2016.”
It will be recalled that ASUU in a recent conference stated that
the Federal Government owes lecturers N124bn as earned
academic allowances from 2013 to 2016, aside another
N495bn that had also accumulated as arrears.
They also urged the Federal and State Governments to honour
the agreements they entered into with them in order to
prevent a major crisis from scuttling the “peace in the nation’s
public universities at this critical period.”

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related
Offences Commission (ICPC) has arraigned the former
Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe, before
a Federal Capital Territory High Court, sitting in Maitama, for
allegedly diverting N1.97 billion meant for the compensation
of owners of properties on Eket Urban section of the East-
West Road in Eket, Akwa Ibom State.
Orubebe, who had failed to appear in court on two previous
occasions, is facing a six-count charge before Justice
Olukayode Adeniyi, alongside an Assistant Director with the
Ministry of Niger-Delta Affairs, Mr. Oludare Davis Alaba, and
the Director of Contracts, Gitto Costruzioni Generali Nig. Ltd.,
Mr. Ephraim Towede Zari.
Counsel to ICPC, Ekoi Akpos, said before the court that their
offences contravened Sections 25 (i), (b); 19, 22(5); of the
Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act 2000 and
Sections 96, 312 and 323 of the Penal Code laws of FCT
2006.
Part of the charge reads, “Diverting the sum of N1,

released by the Federal Government meant for the
compensation of owners of properties on Eket Urban section
of the East- West Road”
‘Conferring unfair advantage upon Gitto Costruzioni Generali
Nig. Ltd, by circumventing the approval of the Federal
Executive Council (FEC) for the dualization of the Eket Urban
road where the former Minister`s decision to rehabilitate the
road instead of dualization falls contrary to the award letter
No.WR14522/VOL.1/55 dated 28/09/2006 as approved by the
FEC; and making false statements to operatives of the ICPC
where he mentioned in his written statement that the decision
to rehabilitate the Eket Urban road was taken after he had left
office as Minister of Niger-Delta Affairs.’ The ex-Minister and
the co-accused pleaded not guilty to the charge when read to
them.
Their counsel, F. Zimuan, representing Orubebe, K. Asunogie,
representing Alaba and Kanu Agabi (SAN), representing Zari,

clients bail on liberal terms. Zimuan specifically urged the

the accused persons be kept in ICPC custody pending the
fulfillment of their bail applications and then adjourned the
case to 10th November, 2016 for hearing.

Udezue cancelled his weeding with Genevieve Nnaji
Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji wanted her wedding to be a secret, no family,
just few friends, but her fiance didn't buy the idea as he also
wanted his family to partake on his special day. According to
reports, her fiance Udezue called off the wedding.
Read According to HPRtv;
"Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji has lost her only chance
of marrying this year because her secret lover has called off
their wedding.
Unknown to many, the pretty Nollywood single mother sparked
off a secret romance with Ugochukwu Udezue, a wealthy NBA
basketball agent based in Denver Colorado last year.
He reportedly proposed to her around the time she was seen
flaunting a huge engagement ring on her official Instagram
page.
Miss Nnaji and the Mr Udezue were supposed to get married
in Milan Italy about two weeks ago but the groom cancelled
the wedding at the last minute and returned to Amsterdam,
dumping the actress and her guests.
On why he cancelled the wedding at the last minute, Udezue
reportedly told his friends that he doesn’t trust Miss Nnaji after
she chose to make the wedding private.
Secondly, his father has refused to give his blessing because
of Genevieve Nnaji’s suspicious demand of not wanting close
family members at the wedding.
It was further disclosed that Ugo’s dad also refused to attend
the event nor give his blessing.
Months before the wedding, Genevieve Nnaji reportedly
begged Udezue to keep the wedding ceremony a low-key one.
She even went as far as not telling any member of her family
nor her colleagues.
She only left Nigeria with her best friend Oluchi Orlandi and
few other friends.
According to sources, Mr Udezue thought Miss Nnaji has
something to hide that was why she didn’t bother to invite her
parents to the wedding ceremony scheduled for Milan.
This and his father’s refusal forced Mr Udezue to call off the
wedding.
The source said Miss Nnaji was put to shame on her wedding
day and was forced to return to Nigeria without the wedding
ring she’s been dreaming of.
Mr Udezue is the founder of African Basketball League. He is
one of the most popular Nigerian NBA agents in the United
States.
According to our source, Udezue has four kids from his
previous marriages.

Woman on wheelchair blocked Buhari's convoy on his way to Edo campaign
A woman on wheelchair attempted
suicide in front of President
Muhammadu Buhari’s covoy on
Tuesday when the number one citizen
visited Edo state to attend the APC
Governorship grand finale campaign
rally, an eyewitness confirmed to
Breeze Reporters.
The drama was said to have happened
around House of Assembly complex by
Airport road Juncture in Benin, Edo
state capital when the woman
ambushed the President’s convoy,
lamenting her poor living condition.
The eyewitness who identified himself
as Jude Chinedu KBS, a student of
Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra
state said he witnessed the
“unimaginable…”
Narrating the incident, the eyewitness
said; “There was heavy military
presence in King Square early this
morning (Tuesday) as president Buhari
was coming to join the Grand finale of
Godwin Obaseki’s campaign for the
September 10th gubernatorial elections
in Edo State. Soon they started
redirecting vehicles and in a matter of
minutes Ring Road was locked down,
no vehicular movement around the
Square aside Police patrol vans.
“I was beside the State House of
assembly by Airport road Juncture, the
only side without any military presence,
adding that “just a hand full of unarmed
policemen and civil defense where
there.
“Soon two Hilux Jeep with a road
closed sign painted on top was (sic)
coming with speed and the security
personnel immediately ordered
everyone to move to the walk way and
not cross the road.
“In less than 60 seconds, the
president’s convoy starts appearing
from the curved corner of Airport road,
they were not on the usual neck
breaking speed that is the custom of
Nigerian political class, the eyewitness
said.
According to him, the convoy “was
slow enough for you to get a good look
of every single vehicle in the convoy
yet fast enough for you not to be able
to catch up with it in a race.
“As the convoy gets close to the house
of assembly complex, this woman on
wheelchair appears from nowhere and
starts wheeling herself right across the
road, he said.
The Eyewitness said; “The Jeep in front
stops immediately. I was expecting
some armed security men to jump out
and teach the woman a lesson for
daring to ambush the president but they
actually stopped for the woman on
wheelchair to cross! Adding “I was
dumbfounded”.
According to him, It is suicidal to
attempt crossing the road when a
Nigerian politician is passing.
He continued; “When the jeep stopped
for the woman to cross, the woman
stopped too…and it (sic) those splits
seconds the driver of the Jeep seemed
indecisive. Angry looking Mopol soon
jumped downed from one of the Hilux
vans and charged toward the Jeep in
front to know why it stopped suddenly,
same time a policeman dashed for the
woman on the wheelchair and pulled
her back.
The eyewitness told Breeze Reporters
that all the drama happened in less
than two minutes.
“It was when the woman grabbed the
uniform of the policeman by the collar,
refusing to let go and shouting “una
know as i take dey eat…I no dey fit buy
food again…Buhari no go pass..make
una leave me make i die.”
According to the eye witness, the
woman was held back till the
president’s convoy passed.
On why the woman would attempt
suicide in front of the president’s
convoy, the Eyewitness said; I don’t
know if I should call it desperation or
bravery, honestly I don’t know which.
But I think some Nigerians are
becoming more daring. The economy is
pushing people to the walls.
“I am sure the president will never get
to hear that a woman on wheelchair
attempted suicide on his convoy in
Benin city, he added.
“It was right in front of me that it
happened, he reiterated when
scrutinized by Breeze Reporters
correspondent.
