Court jails civil servant six months for N109M pension fraud

A high court of the federal capital terrirory in maitama, today sentenced a former accountant of the federal civil service commission, Babatunda Abisuga, to six months imprisonment for offences bordering stealing N109 million PENSION FUND
A statement by the Economic financial crimes commission EFCC, head media and publicity, wilson uwujaren said Abisuga was convicted on all the five counts of stealing,abuse of office and forgery preferred aganist the convict by the anti-graft agency.
The statement said Justice Maryann Anennih,passed the sentence on the convict following plea bargain reached between him and the prosecutor .According to the statement, the judge gave to three months imprisonment on count 1 and 2 and to six months imprisonment on count 5,6 and 7 without an option of fine.
The sentence are to run concurrently.
